  • Relevant Technical/IT Degree or Diploma
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • In-depth understanding of the SAP Maintenance landscape
  • Experience in architecture, system integration and solution design
  • Appreciation of technology accountable for Knowledge of requisite processes for area of accountability

General Accountabilities

  • The role holder is accountable for providing Business Application solutions for business requirements in his domain
  • Conforms to IM solution design principles and leverages existing infrastructure and systems
  • The role holder evaluates all proposed system solutions in line with business requirements and domain process architecture
  • The role holder works closely and builds relationships with relevant stakeholders and outsourced partners to deliver solutions – this includes designing, building, testing and deploying these solutions (Phases of the SDLC after the functional specification is approved)
  • The role holder is accountable for delivery from both outsourced partners and internal development and integration teams
  • The role holder monitors and enforces global service management frameworks in his domain arena and escalates where required
  • The role holder makes sure that a proper handover is done for production support when the solution goes live
  • The role holder is accountable for providing business with the necessary support and contributions
  • The role holder must identify and report system utilisation measures to business custodians
  • The role holder assists in creating and validating the business case, for all new functionality or applications
  • The role holder is accountable for the identification of the organisational impact of any proposed solution with business stakeholders i.e. skills, business processes, structure
  • The role holder must stay abreast of technology related trends and best practice in his domain arena
  • The role holder is accountable for consulting and advising the Change Advisory Board when system changes are requested
  • The role holder is accountable for his/her own work (the exercise of judgement and discretion) in accordance with the organisational values and code of ethics
  • The role holder is accountable to take all necessary actions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislated regulations, policies, work standards, and governance requirements in his/her area of accountability
  • Maintain the Integrity of the SAP PM Work Management Process
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the Business Stakeholders
  • Find solutions to problems that cannot be resolved by the BSSs or SSAs
  • Take accountability for all Software applications in the Asset Management Space
  • Working with business on promoting IT/ OT initiatives
  • Provide guidance on new Solutions that can either be in SAP or other Applications or integration between Applications
