 Business Development Associate–  Job Description

Job Overview 

As our client looks to further grow their Business Development team, the Business Development Associate will be key to that success. The Business Development Associate will be instrumental when it comes to furthering the reach of our client.  We are looking for someone who can directly contribute to relationship-building, industry engagement and support in developing the Business Development department strategy. 


  • Managing and tracking engagements on the CRM System (SalesForce)
  • Prospect and qualify new potential employer partners (artisan based companies) 
  • Meeting with employer partners to understand their needs and how the company can support 
  • Placing of company apprentices with employer partners for on-the-job experience 
  • Managing the relationship between the company, employer partners and apprentices, with frequent touch points and value add propositions
  • Building out of processes and strategy for the Business Development department

  • Confident and professional telephone manner 
  • Strong ability to build rapport with people 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Persistent and persuasive 
  • Confident, driven, ambitious and articulate 
  • A good knowledge of the Gauteng area 


  • Minimum of 3 years experience working within a sales team
  • IT literacy (CRM experience a bonus) 
  • Drivers License and vehicle 
  • Own laptop
